After learning how beneficial fennel is, and the amazing nutrients it stocks I’ve been buying it on a regular basis and it now forms part of me and my family’s diet. This fennel recipe is one you have to try. Usually I just cut fennel into slices and then roast them, but this time I spontaneously decided to fry it with green pepper I had waiting to be used and an onion. As a mother, I am always reading about nutrition. Ways to boost my energy levels, enrich my blood, as well as giving me more healthier skin, hair and nails – Because after childbirth, it really does feel that my body has been depleted of so much for the sake of my darling babies! Fennel seeds, as well as the plant, are great for stimulating the production and flow of breastmilk for lactating mothers.
For women who are going through the symptoms of menopause, adding fennel to the diet can have a positive impact on their daily wellbeing. Studies show that fennel has an impact on women’s mood; relieving depression and anxiety as well as treating vaginal atrophy and increasing bone density. So as you can see the health benefits of fennel are wide and impactful to the body.

Fennel Recipe: Fennel, Onions & Green Bell Pepper
The combination of these ingredients, which for me, happened by accident or rather because I wanted to cook them before they spoilt, really provides a sense of flavours from the Mediterranean, France and Italy. Cooking with fennel could not be easier. Each ingredient has its own flavour and notes but mixes with the other so nicely. I was really pleasantly surprise when I had a first spoonful to eat! Fennel Tea
Boiling fennel seeds is a fantastic way to help regulate a woman’s menstrual cycle, promote weight loss, improve breastmilk production and more. Watch below as I make my morning elixir with fennel (not the seeds but the green part), and other ingredients including ginger, turmeric and cloves. It’s a super drink for women and so delicious!

Fried Fennel Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Fennel chopped
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 Green Bell Pepper chopped
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- Salt and pepper
- ½ tsp Cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Wash the fennel and green pepper. Chop all the ingredients (fennel, green pepper and onion).
- Heat up oil in a frying pan and add in all the vegetables.
- Add the seasoning and stir fry for about 3-5 minutes until the ingredients have become slightly translucent.
- Enjoy as a side dish or eat on its on as a nice healthy snack!
