About Nutri Fusion Bites
Hello! This is Nutri Fusion Bites created by Maryrose, a wife and mother who has a keen interest in all things Nigerian, Chinese and nutrition!
Born in the UK, with a Nigerian heritage I learnt Mandarin Chinese at the age of 11 and have been speaking it ever since with the opportunity to study and work in China! China has a rich history spanning thousands of years and so you can be sure I have used my Chinese knowledge to learn all I can from their great minds in regarding to body and health.
There is so much lost knowledge when it comes to the natural things of the earth that God has provided us and I am so wowed by their benefits. Over time I want to share all that I’ve learnt and what has worked for my family with you!
Tales from the east to the west
Reading Chinese recipes in the native language gives me confidence that I am cooking in a style that represents a history of meals passed down many generations. BUT do not worry because I have learnt them so that I can share with you to effortlessly cook for your loved ones.
Both the Nigerian and Chinese cuisine enjoy using a plethora of ingredients and spices to flavour their dishes. Nutritionally dense and not afraid to pack a punch, the dishes served on this blog will leave you glowing, as guess what – no factory seed oils are used in any of my recipes!

A Food Blog that Does Not use Seed Oils
I’m taking it back to AD 23. No, but seriously, with all the information regarding the dangers of consuming seed oils, I knew I had to heed the warning and stop using them all in my cooking. So that meant no more buying sunflower oil, canola oil, margarine and rapeseed oil to favour healthier oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, lard, tallow, ghee, palm oil and of course butter.
We are what we eat, and making small changes here and there can make a huge difference to the way we feel inside and out. So just do it! If you’re on a healthy living journey then hello! This blog makes it easy in that you don’t need to figure out which oils to substitute as I only use natural oils all our ancestors would have used! Happy Cooking!
